What is my child learning?
In elementary school children begin to learn geography and how parts of the world are connected. These connections can spark children to explore the world beyond their own communities and prompts them to become global citizens. Geography also promotes early reading non fiction skills through introductions to new vocabulary and data markers such as legends and tables of contents.
