What is my child learning?
This activity helps young children develop their listening comprehension skills. Listening comprehension is a child or person’s understanding of what is being said to them and their actions or reactions based on the information they receive. Listening comprehension is the precursor to reading comprehension. Both skills are necessary for assessment and in school performance. This activity also helps children develop their gross motor skills and begin to better understand different ways they can move their body through space.
